The discussion will explore the difficulties women face in relation to dementia and how the usual demographic of caregivers (female, single and unmarried, daughters, daughter-in-laws) are affected.What is my journey like as a female caregiver to a loved one with dementia? What are some of the biggest challenges I face as a female caregiver? (Challenges with finances, emotional wellbeing, physical health etc.)What kind of support is available for me out there? What are the barriers to accessing these services?How do I lead a balanced lifestyle while managing work, life, and care for a loved one? Step Up, Speak Out! is a forum for caregivers and experts to come together to share their journey and gain insights on how to care better for themselves and their loved ones with dementia.
