In conjunction with our current exhibition "The More We Get Together: Singapore’s Playgrounds 1930-2030", join us for a fun parent-child bonding session in collaboration with Home Play Singapore through sensory play! Explore how children used to play then and now, at 6 stations featuring sand, blocks, dough, rice, cardboard and paint. You can also create and paint mini playground structures with various materials and have fun at the cardboard playground!There will be 6 play stations for families:1.Singapore’s early playground on grass field -sensory tray with green colour rice (sensory play)2.Singapore’s early playground on sand - sensory tray with sand (sensory play)3.Singapore future playground - spreading and stacking (STEM learning & role play)4.Singapore future playground - build rope pyramid (STEM learning)5.Singapore future playground - decorate and paint your play house (art & group activity)6.Mini playground made with cardboard (free unstructured play)
Recommended for children 18 months - 10 years old. Limited to 20 pairs of parent and child at $8 per pair. Please note that photos may be taken during this programme for use in the museum’s publicity for future programmes.
