Cheran is a Professor
in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Crimonology at the University
of Windsor, Canada. Also a poet, playwright and a journalist, he has authored
over fifteen books in Tamil, which have been translated into sixteen languages.
His latest work, In A Time of
Burning, is published by Arc Publications, UK, reflecting on mass
