Ages 12+, Beginners, Multilevel. CONTACT IMPROV Contact Improvisation is a dance in which participants communicate through physical contact, often giving or receiving body weight. It can be gentle or athletic, as participants listen to their own and others' bodies, responding to impulses small or large. We will be dancing on astroturf; wear long pants to avoid abrasion! This workshop is taught by Faye Lim, Felicia Lim, and Eng Kai Er.INSTRUCTORSFaye, Felicia, and Kai each developed an interest in Contact Improvisation while studying abroad in different countries. The first time all three of them danced together was at a Contact Improvisation festival in Malaysia in 2015. Since then, they have danced, organised, performed, taught, and built local community together. This year, as part of the Qontact Qimprovisation Research Group, they are associate artists at Dance Nucleus, Singapore.
