Who knows, your founder journey may begin here!►What's #Hackathon about?30 hours hackathon, starting from Saturday 11:00am to Sunday 5:00pmBeginning on Saturday, attendees will form their team and start hacking on their idea. Over the weekend, all team will focus on brainstorming, product development & creating a prototype. All the teams will be presenting their product to judging panels and receiving feedback on Sunday evening.►Challenges & Prizes3 tracks for challenges including a general track, cashless society track & also a social impact track, competing for a total prize pool of RM20,000.00 cash prizes + other exciting prizes from the sponsors & partners.Grand Prize : RM8,000.00 (eligible for all tracks)First Runner-Up : RM4,000.00 (eligible for all tracks)Special Track Prize : Cashless Society : RM3,000.00Special Track Prize : Social Impact : RM3,000.00Special Prize - Crowd Favourite : RM2,0000.00 (eligible for all tracks)Cashless Society Track : The Goal : Create a solution (technology / software / hardware / etc) to enable Malaysians to adopt the concept of cashless society at a wider & faster phase. It could be an idea that builds on top of existing solutions / it could be something radical / totally innovative / disruptive to the current cashless ecosystem. Social Impact Track : The Goal : Create a project that solves social problems in the country and create a positive impact to the society with a compelling story to change Malaysia for good and connecting people with the common purpose. The idea can be, but not limited to problems such as tackling food waste, helping refugees connecting to the society, enabling the non-urban community with technology, bringing social entrepreneurs to investors & etc. General Track :The Goal : Create a project that solves real live problems with innovative solutions gives a plus! But generally anything that's cool / fun to be worked on, it could even be a game / hardware / something silly, but most importantly, we just want to have fun and encourage innovation & creativity.► Who can participant?All ages, genders, and skill levels are welcome. Come solo or in a team of up to four, and spend the weekend learning new skills, meeting your local tech community and tech sponsors, enjoying free food and have fun.Our attendees typically consist of developers looking to improve their skills or expand their horizons, students, designers of all skill-sets, business expert in their industry and serious entrepreneurs that can add value to the teams.► Why should I join?This weekend is centered around action, innovation & education. What does it means? Ans : We would like to offer this opportunity of learning and networking for every members in the community. So, we collect ticket fee as a commitment fee and you will be refunded in full if you attend the event. So, don't ffk / mia :)2. How will the refund be processed? Ans : You will either get your refund in "Boost e-wallet" during the event. We're a big advocator of the cashless society and lots of things happening in the program will be powered by the cashless technology :)3. Where is the venue? How do I get there? Is parking chargeable? Ans : We are at Lvl 2, CIMB Afiniti Medini. Just use Waze / Google Maps, type "IskandarSpace" and you'll get there. Parking is charged RM3.00/per entry, validate it at the front desk of IskandarSpace. Park at the yellow zone, and take the lift towards "Afiniti Training"4. Can I take public transport there?Ans : Yes, there will be Causeway Link bus from Larkin, JB Sentral, Jurong East, Boonlay, Gelang Patah, Causeway 2nd Link. Take the yellow bus towards "Legoland" and we're right opposite. Just walk over.5. Can I stay there overnight during the hackathon? Will I have a place to take a shower?Ans : The space will be open 24/7 during the hackathon, so yes, you could stay overnight & work all night long. There will be a place where you could do your shower at the venue.6. What language will be used in the pitching? Ans : Mainly English, but if you're more comfortable in speaking Bahasa Melayu, you are welcome to do so. Our judges are mentors are all capable of speaking in multiple languages. We're Malaysians, we speak at least 2 / 3 language here :)7. I still have a lot other questions.
