Join author and award-winning filmmaker Ken Kwek in
this 45-minute workshop on the basics of story-telling, for children aged 9 to
12 on Saturday, 11 August from 2:15pm to 3:00pm! Using examples from popular
children’s films, he explains how:1. Every good story ever told contains the
same ingredients. 2. Knowing what these ingredients are will
enable any child to write their own stories. 3. Writing is a skill that can help
children make sense of their world—and who they are.
During the workshop, children will be
invited to contribute ideas for a group story and have the chance to discuss a
little more about the concept of writing.
This workshop if FREE for children, but
does not include admission to the Children’s Centre for Creativity. If you wish
to stay on to play after the workshop, admission is by any donation amount to our charity
(available at our front desk). More about Ken Kwek:KEN KWEK is an award-winning screenwriter, director, playwright and author. His full-length plays include Apocalypse: LIVE!
