She has worked primarily as a music journalist and broadened her scope of work as an entertainment consultant for Gibson Guitar. Lennat is also the founder/producer of Kombi Sessions. The Kombi Sessions is an online video series that capture Singapore bands in an unique live acoustic setting - the backseat of vintage VW Kombi.She has worked for MTV Asia as a digital content producer and helms artist management with an additional publicity/ marketing portfolio for independent boutique label Deer Island Records. Beside being a judge and mentor for the 2018 Baybeats Budding Band Program, she is a guest lecturer for LaSalle's BA (Hons) Arts Management Programme. In January 2017, Lennat has joined Warner Music Singapore. Her current job scope embellishes her music industry experience as the marketing manager for the label's various international and domestic priority artists and projects.In her free time, she also drums for indie-pop band Obedient Wives Club and has played regional festivals such as Urbanscapes and Laneway Festival.Edwin Waliman Whether on or off stage, Edwin has always dreamed of turning his passion for music into a career. As bassist of The Summer State, Edwin performed at various music festivals in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines and has opened for international rock bands Yellowcard, Simple Plan, Mayday Parade, Against the Current, and Neck Deep. Edwin’s curiosity for the business aspect of the music industry has enabled him to put his educational certifications to good use, joining Secret Signals in 2013 as an intern and earned his stripes to a partner in the company, where he took over as the Southeast Asia label manager for Hopeless Records, Red Bull Records and Rude Records. Edwin oversees all day-to-day operations of Secret Signals and its international and regional clients which includes pop star Cher Lloyd, UK folk artist Novo Amor, US rock band The Maine and Singapore acts such as Gentle Bones, M1LDL1FE, Plainsunset, In Each Hand A Cutlass, Villes, Ffion and many more. In mid-2015, Edwin co-founded Look Ma, No Hands!, organising the monthly night party EMONIGHTSG. Edwin is also a football addict and a decent FIFA player.Nigel LopezEstablished in 2016, Middle Class Cigars was founded by Nigel Lopez and is now managed by him and label partner Raphael Michael Ong. What started out as a hobby dubbing tapes in his bedroom quickly turned into a full-fledged record label, recognized within the niche indie communities around the world.The homegrown label releases reflective music from artists around the world on cassette tape and across digital platforms. They are currently home to some of Asia’s most promising indie bands: Sobs, Subsonic Eye, Cosmic Child and Glasgow-based Handsome Girl. Currently having 10 successful releases under their belt, they have been picked up by international media such as NYLON US, The Line of Best Fit, The 405, Indie Shuffle and more. Every band under their roster have gone on tours, having performed around Southeast Asia, China, Taiwan and Glasgow. Middle Class Cigars throw their own parties, attracting large, diverse crowds of 400 - 500 people. The label has been steadily growing since its formation and it seems like things are just getting started for these young tastemakers.
