She is currently researching on the relationship between neuroscience and sound at the Institute in Switzerland.The event will feature a demonstration performance of Kyoka's research, as well as solo performances by vibraphonist Masayoshi Fujita and Ken Furudate, known for his work with Dumb Type, on the theme of “sleep” inspired by her research. Additionally, there will be an experimental session involving all three artists. She is known for her chaotic, heavy, and rough sound, which is experimental yet danceable. Since 2008, she has released the 'ufunfunfufu' EP series from the label Onpa))))). From 2012 onwards, she has released "iSH," "s (Is superpowered)," and "SH" from the prestigious German electronic music label raster-noton. In 2020, she participated in a compilation by трип, a label founded by Nina Kraviz. In 2023, she served as an instructor in the young artists' development program of the Venice Biennale music department. He set up a studio in a mountain hamlet and draws inspiration from the majestic nature around him to create new sounds for the world.He seeks a unique sound and new possibilities for the vibraphone, free from traditional playing styles, techniques, and composition methods. In addition to performing in concerts and festivals around the world, including Europe, he provides music for various visual works, including films. Affiliated with the London label Erased Tapes Records, he has released 11 albums to date. In Japan, he released a collaborative album, 'Conjecture,' with Masahiko Mikami of Gontiti in 2016.His music, often described as cinematic, possesses a unique atmosphere and worldview inspired by the profound mist, tranquility, and majestic mountains, painting vivid scenes and narratives in the listener's mind.
