Our 2nd Schnitzelfest will be held on Saturday, July 21. Due to the large response last year to this event, we are offering online tickets to be purchased in advance. There will be live music as well as the fantastic food. Seatings will be on the hour, from noon until the last seating 7-8 pm. Tickets are for the Schnitzel meal - a large pork schnitzel with choice of sauces and lots of salads at the salad bar. Children's meals may be purchased at half price.The schnitzel buffet includes a large schnitzel with your choice of sauces or just with lemon, german broetchen and a salad buffet (with of course potato salad!). The beer garden will be serving bratwurst and curry wurst. Donauwelle will be available for dessert (Chocolate and cherry vanilla cream cake) and beer and soft drinks for sale as well.The cost of the meal and entertainment is $14.99 per person. With sales tax and internet ticket processing the total is $17.88 per person. We are working diligently to do all we can to keep prices as low as possible for our wonderful guests!Beverages will be available on site. Water comes with the meal. Sodas and German beer will be available for purchase, along with fantastic dessert.In the beer garden area, we will be selling bratwurst, currywurst, snacks and drinks, available for purchase on site.So you are welcome to come to the event anytime noon - 9 pm and stay as long as you like. You may purchase dinner tickets for a specific seating time but are welcome to come before or stay after in the beer garden area to continue to enjoy the food and beverages, music, and community.Children are welcome - this is a family friendly environment where you can walk around the grounds, and children can view animals and go down the big slide. Please accompany your children, though, so you won't be separated. Children's meals will be half portions and available for kids ages 2-9. You may wish to not purchase tickets for younger ones and feed them from your plate or bring something with you for them to eat and that is ok with us. There will be some snacks they would like, such as pretzels and gummy bears, available for purchase at the beer garden area also.Thank you for your support of our efforts to bring delicious German food to the Manhattan area! We are so fortunate to have Chef Manfred here! The biergarten will feature bratwurst and currywurst, along with snacks for sale. The beer is coming from KC Bier Co. (www.kcbier.com), a Kansas City brewery that makes all German biers, with German ingredients and processes. We are excited KC Bier will now be available in Manhattan, kicking off at Schnitzelfest! Prices range from 50 cents for snacks to $3.00 - $5.00 for beer, dessert, brats to $17.88 for dinner.
