Join Darryl Lim, Assistant Curator (Southeast Asia) on a journey with mythical creatures in the Ancestors and Rituals Gallery to explore their origins and significance in the various faiths and beliefs across Asia. Learn how representations of mythical creatures in different forms and media shed light on the many understandings of the natural world around us. No passports are needed for this tour. About the Curator:Darryl Lim is Assistant Curator (Southeast Asia) at the Asian Civilisations Museum, where he works with the museum’s collection of Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain art. His present research focuses on everyday expressions of ethnic and religious identity in Southeast Asia, as well as on the materiality of religion in Thailand.Please note that this is a paid programme.
