Now is your chance to find out!Join us for a privately organised walk of the Chinatown district, highlighting some of the locations that were (and still are) significant in Singapore's queer history over the decades. What? We will be taking a leisurely 1.2 km walk guided by a Walk Leader. You are invited to engage and share your own experiences of Chinatown - its queer and cultural heritage, or any other snippets of trivia you may have collected from your own sources. If you're new to Chinatown and its queer heritage, you're most welcome to ask questions, which the Walk Leader will try their best to answer. Why?We're organising this because we believe that as part of Singapore's LGBTQ+ community, we need to be aware of our own heritage, and where better to start than Chinatown, an area already steeped in history and multi-cultural significance. Who?This walk is organised by Oogachaga, as part of Pink Fest, and in collaboration with community partners.. Why the registration fee?Registration can only be confirmed upon payment of your registration fee. The fee is to cover logistical costs of organising the walk, and will not be paid to the Walk Leader. The fee includes a goodie bag and refreshments at the Well Dressed Salad Bar (282 South Bridge Road) as part of the walk.Terms and Conditions:By signing up for this walk, you understand and agree that:• This is a private, social event, suitable for adults age 16 and over (due to some mature content).• The person leading the walk is a volunteer known as a Walk Leader, not a registered tour guide.• Neither Oogachaga, its collaborating partners, nor the Walk Leader will be held responsible for any losses, accidents, injuries or damages incurred by participants as a result of the walk.About OogachagaOogachaga is Singapore’s community-based, non-profit, professional organisation working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and queer (LGBTQ+) individuals, couples & families since 1999.
