Hata Taiyo is a guitarist and he is also a composer and an arrangers of songs that they produce. Goto Ran is the vocal with angelically smooth and nice voice. She also writes lyrics for the majority of songs Hata has produced. Hata is acknowledged among many music publishers including Mapion and others as one of recommended skilled jazz/rock/funk guitarist with his Tuck and Patti inspired well sophisticated guitar technique. Besides his beautiful guitar melody sounds, his intact guitar playing technique makes audience astonished by sharp and accurate rhythm of noticeable bass sounds and well accented percussive tapping sounds. Ran's voice of high key flows beautifully as if it were the singing voice of adolescent boys. It emotionally remains in the ear kindly and marvelously. I am Oak released multiple albums since the release of their debut ‘On Claws’ back in 2010. They are known for their folk music with beautiful arrangements; a recognizable own sound, modest and calm songs with guitar at the core. Through the years I Am Oak’s sound has evolved to something bigger and more extensive, but the band never lost their distinctive sound. Their latest full length album 'Our Blood' was released on Sign-pole Records in Japan. Latest release was single 'Will I Wake', with more to come in 2018.
