Meeting Point: Lakeside MRT Pick-up PointWednesday, 8 May | 2pm - 4pmCome with us on a guided tour of the Heritage Conservation Centre in Jurong Port Road as our team of specialists walk you through their processes, peppering their sharings with their own experiences hunched over great rolls of ancient textiles and scrolls, and historic everyday objects. The goal? Protect them from being further ravaged by the passing of time. The tour provides a peek into some of the treasures in the Centre’s storerooms and a window into the state-of-the-art conservation technology and practices in play.About The Heritage Conservation CentreThe Heritage Conservation Centre Tour gives visitors a rare glimpse into the world of heritage conservation. This roughly 2-hour tour brings you behind the scenes to understand the inner workings and behold treasures from Singapore's National Collection. Please take note of the following:- Kindly arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of programme for registration.- All participants, including children, must have a ticket to join this tour.- Participants will need to be ages 7 and above- It is compulsory for a parent/guardian to accompany any child of or under the age of 12.- No walk-ins will be accepted.- No exchange of tickets is allowed under any circumstance except for tour cancellation.- Please be in comfortable attire and shoes and bring along a bottle of water.- Electronic or printed ticket(s) must be presented in order to join this tour.- All ticket sales are final. There will be no refund if you wish to cancel your tickets.- The tour may be partly or totally cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Participants will receive a full refund in the case of programme cancellation.- By agreeing to join the tour, each participant shall be responsible for any injury, loss or damage due to carelessness or other actions on their part or that of children under their charge.- Videos and photographs may also be taken during the event.
