The workshop will explore several aspects of image making, from abstract to narrative, engaging closely with the idea of developing stories that sounds can tell. The participants will visually translate these sonorities through the question “What does something intangible like a sound look like?”Developed for participants aged 13 and above. PLEASE READ BEFORE GETTING A TICKET: Admission is free but registration is required. If you are planning to attend with more than 1 person, please indicate the number of tickets you would like to register for. We will send a message nearer to the event date to confirm your participation again. As we have had registered participants who do not show up on the date of the event, we request that you let us know as soon as possible that you are unable to make it so that your ticket will be released. We will not accept unregistered walk-ins. BIOGRAPHYTan Zi Xi (Singapore) is an artist and illustrator has worked on numerous projects with graphic designers, fashion labels, and museums. Her most recent achievement is a prestigious Gold from the Singapore Creative Circle Awards 2015 for her animation piece dododo, commissioned by UNTITLED Japan. She was also awarded the “New Talent of Year 2010” at the London International Creative Competition for her seminal series Ten Years of Work for Every Minute on Stage. Tan has been exhibited in the Singapore Art Museum in 2016, where she created Plastic Ocean, a work that challenges the public to reflect on the sheer enormity of waste we generate excessively.
