Go behind the scenes to see sbek thom shadow puppets and learn how to move as gracefully as the performers. Talented dancers from Cambodia will demonstrate and guide you through the basics of moving with large shadow puppets.   No experience is needed. This workshop is suitable for beginners.   Participants should report 10 minutes before the start of the session. Limited spaces are available.   This workshop is part of the Angkor Encore Weekend Festival happening from 25 to 27 May 2018. Bring your family and friends for the launch of the festival by His Excellency Ngoun Sokveng (Ambassador of Cambodia in Singapore) on Friday, 25 May, at 7pm.   Frequently Asked Questions   1.    Do I need any dance experience to join this workshop? No experience with dance is needed! This workshop is suitable for beginners and will be gently coached by the experienced dancers from Cambodia.   2.    What should I wear for the workshop? Come in comfortable clothing and bring a small towel. Dance shoes are not required.   3.    Where is the workshop taking place? The dance workshop takes place at the Foyer on level 2 of the Asian Civilisations Museum.   4.    Who is the instructor for this workshop? The dance workshop will be conducted by dancers flown in from Cambodia. They will be performing during the festival at 8pm daily on Fri & Sat, 25 and 26 May.   5.    Why do we have to put down a refundable deposit of $10/pax? As the workshop spaces are highly limited, this is to ensure that no spaces are left unfilled, and the process is as fair as possible.
