His main areas of practice are intellectual property, media, telecommunications, information technology, cyber security and data protection law (both contentious and non-contentious). Jeffrey is a member of Project Law Help, a pro bono committee of the Law Society which focuses on providing non-litigious legal advisory and support for charities, social enterprises and voluntary welfare organisations, including the provision of a clearing house for connection between volunteer lawyers and such organisations. He formally chaired the committee from 2013 to 2017.Amira Nabila BudiyanoAmira has a diverse practice with a core focus on IP, privacy and IT laws, which includes providing advice on IP commercialization, such as assignment/franchise agreements, IP due diligence, licensing and technology transfer matters. Amira engages in general corporate advisory work (related to IP rights or otherwise) involving confidential information and trade secrets and several regulatory and technology-related issues. Amira was previously on the Panel of Lawyers under the PDPA Legal Advice Scheme administered by the Law Society. She has advised a multi-national company providing IT solutions to Singapore’s biggest telecommunications service provider on a recent investigation by the Personal Data Protection Commission on a breach of data protection obligations.Winston SeowWinston is a partner in the corporate team. His corporate practice covers a wide spectrum of corporate work including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance, and banking and corporate restructuring. Winston’s practice focuses on cross border transactions and foreign direct investment in Asia, in particular, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. His clients include local and foreign small and medium enterprises, multinational corporations and state-owned enterprises, the majority of which are in the energy and shipping industries.The event is supported by Design Singapore and Law Society Pro Bono Services, and venue provided by the National Design Centre.
