The system, or relationship, itself has a life of its own, separate, connected to, and influenced by the individuals in the system. Including ourselves as coaches. The system or relationship itself is known as the Third Entity. When a group of interconnected individuals are in relationship with a common goal, what would it look like to tap into the unique intelligence of the system and draw on the inherent wisdom, intelligence, and subconscious knowing contained within the Third Entity?Now, this all sounds terribly magical, and to some degree it is! Yet in practice 3rd Entity Coaching™ is also incredibly practical. And 3rd Entity Coaching™ can reveal elements of a relationship and give access to thoughts and feelings in our clients or their systems and OUR systems that may be overlooked by focussing only on the individuals in the system.This interactive, experiential workshop will be led by executive and life coach Sarah Furuya. Sarah is passionate about helping people have a better experience of life and work. To identify ways to move forward, take action and feel relief. She finds 3rd Entity Coaching™ useful in uncovering hidden unexpressed truths and information in relationship that can help clients take more responsibility, be more creative in their problem solving, and generate different perspectives. Sarah will introduce the concepts behind 3rd Entity Coaching™ and teach a practical exercise for drawing out the voice of the system that you can use with clients. There will be time to discuss how the existence of the Third Entity influences individual, group, and team coaching.This workshop focuses on four Core Competencies: #4 Coaching Presence, #6 Powerful Questioning, #7 Direct Communication, and #8 Creating Awareness. At the meeting we will:— Look at the elements of a system and the interconnectedness of the system— Define the Third Entity and tap into its innate intelligence — Walk through, experience, and practice 3rd Entity Coaching™— Earn essential, but rare, Continuing Coach Education units The Coaching in English Group is open to any coach or would-be coach of any nationality who uses or wants to use English professionally in their coaching sessions. Activities will be conducted in English.
