Professor Harvey Feinberg served as Provost of Harvard University and President of the Institute of Medicine (now the Academy of Medicine).The symposium will be held on Saturday February 24, 2024 at Gakushi Kaikan in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, Japan.In the first part of the symposium, special lectures will be given by Professor Fineberg and Associate Professor Haruka Sakamoto of the Tokyo Women's Medical University, laureate of the Takemi Incentive Award. The second part will feature keynote speeches from Professor Katsuhiko Mikoshiba of Shanghai University of Science and Technology, Professor Masato Yasui of Keio University, Dr. Hideaki Koizumi, Advisor and Executive Vice President Emeritus of the Engineering Academy of Japan (this symposium committee chair), and Professor Emeritus Michael R. Reich of Harvard University, followed by a plenary discussion (transdisciplinary talk: TD talk) joined by both laureates of the Takemi awards.
