Media, while powerful, has not been immune to perpetuating stereotypes and biases of the minority. Typecasted, overgeneralised, and often neglected. In collaboration with Rice Media, join us at the upcoming Atap Assembly as we unravel the pivotal theme of minority representation in media. Through stories on disability and ethnicity, our speakers, Naren, Preetipls, and Irsyad Dawood, will be sharing how they boldly carved their paths and become a voice for the unheard, unapologetic in their identities. Discover their journeys, challenges, and unwavering commitment to authentic content creation in a majority-dominated landscape. This venue has limited wheelchair accessibility. There is a step at the entrance, but we are happy to assist you in entering the venue. The toilet is, unfortunately, not wheelchair friendly. Please let us know if you need access assistance so we can prepare to host you.
