Let's Twist to Joget!
Let’s twist with our friendly dancers from Artiste Seni Budaya as they bring you on a fun and interactive journey down memory lane to the 1960s where the rock and roll dance moves were highly influenced in the Malay social dance scene. Learn simple choreography and dance moves on the once famous and classic tunes of Saloma and P.Ramlee.
No experience is needed. This workshop is suitable for beginners and children ages 7 years and above.
Participants should report 10 minutes before the start of the session. Limited spaces are available.
This workshop is part of You Should Be Dancing at ACM on Friday, 13th April and Saturday, 14th April.

1. Do I need any dance experience to join this workshop?
No experience with dance is needed! This workshop is suitable for beginners and will be gently coached by the experienced dancers from Artiste Seni Budaya.
2. What should I wear for the workshop?
Come in comfortable clothing with a small towel.
3. Who is the instructor for this workshop?
Artiste Seni Budaya (ASB) is a performing arts group founded by Mr. Rizman Kassim, The group was formed in 2003. Being in the performing arts for more than 10 years, ASB has stretched the boundaries of the Malay dance scene in Singapore and with Mr. Rizman Kassim as the artistic director. The group repertoire includes Malay traditional dance, Malay creative dance and Malay contemporary dance. To date, they have participated in local dance festival events such as Singapore Heritage Festival, Muara Dance Festival, Singapore Arts Festival, River Hangbao Festival and Chingay Parade and overseas dance festival events in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Korea.
