Have fun at the museum with this fun and interactive lion dance workshop. Learn the basic foot works and choreography of the lion dance performance. Get in tune with the drumming strokes and techniques. Don’t forget take a selfie with the larger then life sized lion head at the end of the workshop! No experience is needed. This workshop is suitable for beginners and children ages 7 years and above.Participants should report 10 minutes before the start of the session. Do I need any dance experience to join this workshop? No experience with dance is needed! This workshop is suitable for beginners and will be gently coached by the experienced trainers from Tian Eng Dragon and Lion Dance Centre.2. What should I wear for the workshop? Come in comfortable clothing and covered footwear with a small towel. 3. Who is the instructor for this workshop? Singapore Tian Eng Dragon & Lion Dance Centre is a well-known and an international award winning troupe. Since the founding of our troupe in 1987, Tian Eng has won numerous awards both for lion dance as well as dragon dance competitions. Tian Eng is one of the few troupes that managed to get a double champion for the Traditional Lion Dance competition both in the semis and finals in the 2006 National Lion Dance Competition, one of Singapore major championship for lion dance. They have over the years also won numerous medals for our art of lion and dragon dance. 4. Why do we have to put down a refundable deposit of $10/pax? As the workshop spaces are highly limited, this is to ensure that the instructor and facilitators' times are fully utilized. The deposit will be refunded 24 hours after the event.5.
