Join us for an evening of raw and creative prowess featuring two talented and much-adored individuals, Qiyun (@theweirdandwild) and Hafi (@hahahafi), who have harnessed the power of art and design to drive change in the realms of environmental conservation and cultural preservation.We will be hosting an intimate conversation with this awe-inspiring duo, who will share their personal journeys and insights as to how their artistic expression has become an extension of their work in pushing for activism. Through their stories, learn how creativity can catalyze change, awareness and action in the face of current pressing issues in this rapidly developing world. About the speakers:Qiyun (Instagram: @theweirdandwild) Qiyun is an environmental communicator behind The Weird and Wild where she uses comics and visuals to make climate science accessible. Qiyun is passionate about science with communication and is always finding creative ways to tell stories about complex issues. Hafi (Instagram: @hahahafi) HAFI is an illustrator, designer and visual artist. She makes visual interpretations through drawings that are rooted in ancestral memories. Her works dissect themes of identity and cultural narratives via image making, most notably seen in SEASONINGS magazine, which she co-founded to explore Singapore’s food culture. Some of her works include: AWARE, Asian Civilization Museum, Epigram Books, Ethos Books, Journey East, Malay Heritage Centre, National Gallery Singapore, Formula 1: Singapore Airlines - Singapore Grand Prix, Hermès, Samsung, National Library Singapore, Vans Singapore, Tag Heuer, Peranakan Museum. Join us for a chat, food and printmaking!It is also a night to get a little messy. Take on a crafty activity with us during this session as we open our doors to printmaking featuring original artworks by Qiyun and Hafi.
