The workshop will present the origins of nanyin and the instruments used with live demonstrations. Join Siong Leng Musical Association as they transport you back to the Han dynasty, where nanyin first began. About Siong Leng Musical AssociationEstablished in 1941, Siong Leng owes its success to its late chairman, Teng Mah Seng. Under his guidance, Siong Leng has played an important role in preserving and promoting   nanyin. They received the Singapore Chinese Cultural Contribution Award in 2017, and the Stewards of Intangible Cultural Heritage Award from the National Heritage Board in 2021. They are current holders of a National Arts Council Major Grant (2022–25).Please note that this is a paid programme. Before purchasing a ticket, please read the following:1.
