In this behind the scenes tour of Tong Heng, you will hear about the history of how this heritage brand evolves from the 1920s to the present day. From his humble beginnings as a street peddler, first generation owner Mr Fong Chee Heng started a shop business at 33 Smith Street with an assortment of pastries and hot desserts as the accompaniment to tea and coffee. The later generations then grew and flourished the business to the successful pastry shop that it is today at 285 South Bridge Rd.
