The most common type of printer, the plastic printers, work in a similar manner to hot glue guns.Imagine trying to build a small castle out of hot glue. You would go around the perimeter, laying down one layer of hot glue at a time until you've built a wall. Four walls and some fancy pillars will make a castle. The same concept applies to 3D printing, except, using a computer. The printer heats up the filament, normally a plastic of some sort, and lays them down one layer at a time, following a design on the computer. The result is a plastic object that can be incredibly complicated and would have taken many times longer to construct using any other method.Come, REGISTER and witness the sorcery yourself .......who knows you might go home with one ;) Introducing Mr Marcus ....who spent his time melting plastic and squirt the programmed shape onto a heated plate.
