Breakfast Briefing:
Withholding
tax is a tax collection mechanism to withhold income tax from non-residents
with the onus of collection imposed on the payer. Amidst rising cross-border
transactions, it is important to identify which payments are subject to
Singapore withholding taxes, understand the implications of non-compliance and
adopt practical steps in managing compliance obligations.
Join us
in this session where we Chai Wai Fook and Louise Phua will share an overview of Singapore withholding tax.
They will also highlight typical challenges and pitfalls that may arise in
dealing with withholding tax, and suggest alternatives to mitigate such
mistakes (including data analytics).
