Meeting point: Admin Office Before Bishan became the bustling town it is today, it was known as the "Peck San Theng" cemetery which was established in 1870 by the Kwong Wai Siew federation. Over the decades, a community settled around the cemetery grounds. This eventually led to what came to be known as Kampong San Teng, which had a strong community spirit and a rich multi-racial flavour.
