STOPOVER - Live Performance京急高架下インキュベーション施設KOCAでは2023年7月7日(金)、8日(土)の２日間にわたり、展示・パフォーマンスイベント“stopover - 途中下車 -”を開催します。本イベントの開催に際し、両日夜に高架下へ映像を投影しての音と映像のライブアートパフォーマンスを行います。商店街や町工場が今も残り、少し懐かしさを感じる京急沿線のまちを巡りながら、初夏の夜にKOCAへぜひお越しください。------—途中下車はいつも思いがけない発見や驚きがある—東京と横浜の中間地、町工場や商店街が残る下町。その鉄道高架下スペースでおこなわれる、進行形のプロセスを体験するインスタレーションや映像作品、ライブパフォーマンスのイベント。蒲田界隈の小さな街、日常の中で不意に出会う、アート体験。—a STOPOVER will always deliver unexpected discoveries—Between the big cities of Tokyo and Yokohama, there remain small, retro townships with local factories and old shopping streets. Or is it due to the sudden encounter with the unknown, outside the continuity of memory? In either case, we find something of great vitality and value in the moment when the sequence of being is unexpectedly severed and the moment appears in its vividness.  Experiencing art in galleries, museums and art fairs, detached from the processes of life, is indeed pleasurable. Yet, an art experience accidentally encountered in the course of our activities, such as on a stopover during a journey, may trigger an even more vibrant sense of catharsis. We feel changed by its momentary, incidental flavour in the midst of the everyday.  The title "stopover" is inspired by the fact that the venue, KOCA, is located directly under the elevated railway structure. The two-day event is therefore like a stopover on a rail journey. Travellers to STOPOVER can simultaneously experience the art show and a charming town that still functions by small factories and retro shopping streets.At KOCA and Senrokuya café, sculptural exhibits will reveal the workaday process of creating artwork, and installations and video art will be exhibited that express dynamism and continuous development.
