Abstract Mapmaking Workshop by Valerie NgRecommended for ages 7 and above. All children below 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session - as each ticket admits 1 pax, do register accordingly.Go on an adventure with your paintbrush and create a colourful map inspired by nature and trails. In this workshop, participants will explore abstract painting with acrylics to make patterns, shapes and colours, as well as collage with paper and recycled materials. Using your imagination and mixed media techniques in this map-making theme, you'll get to experiment with different ways of expressing ideas and stories visually!Materials are provided and participants will bring home their own painted map. A dynamic balance of strokes and subtle variations to convey a sense of mood and movement on the surface, she is inspired by the natural elements in the environment. She attended The Slade Summer School of Art, UK in 2002 and has exhibited at the Singapore Art Museum as well as the National Art Gallery, Malaysia.
