Participants will learn basic concepts of self-care and have hands-on experience using different types of drawing e.g. zentangle, kawaii drawing and mandala art. They will learn how to process their art piece to increase their self-awareness.Materials you require to prepare in advance:  5 pieces of blank A4 papers black and colour markers pencils, colour pencils or crayons eraser, ruler Conducted by Sylvia Mak, Social Worker from Club Rainbow(Singapore).This experiential session is presented as part of Dreamseeds Arts Fest 2023 by Club Rainbow (Singapore).IMPORTANT NOTES:*Participants should ensure they have the listed materials prior to the session.*Recommended for caregivers or participants above 16 years old.* The session will be conducted on Zoom meeting and best viewed from a desktop/laptop/tablet. The URL will be emailed to confirmed attendees at least 1 day before the event date.* Please register the participant's name for us to identify the given name for admission into the Zoom meeting.==================About the facilitatorSylvia Mak has been a social worker of Club Rainbow (Singapore) (CRS) since 1999. Using art as a means to support the caregivers of CRS, she is passionate to use therapeutic art as part of her intervention modalities with CRS beneficiaries and their families.  She has written personal growth and healing activity books to assist children in personal growth and coping better with their grief and loss. She likes to use art as a means to support participants for a self-discovery journey.Sylvia graduated with a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences (Counselling) from the University of South Australia in 2002 and a Bachelor Degree of Social Work from Hong Kong Baptist University in 1990. She also completed the Graduate Certificate Course of Expressive Therapies for Emotional Growth in Adolescence and Children using Emotional Release Counselling and Sandplay conducted by Expressive Therapies Institute of Australia in 2005.
