Coming under the "Chinese Communities & Organisations in Southeast Asia" series organised by the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre and Nanyang Technological University Chinese Heritage Centre, the talk takes "organisations" to mean discursive frames with linguistic characteristics. While visual arts always exist in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual arena, art research and criticism are paradoxically more language dependent.
