Parents will understand the causes and consequences of picky eating and be empowered with skills to manage them. No more mealtime battles but happy times ahead!Bio Data of the Speaker:Sherlyn graduated from the UK with a second-upper class honours in Nutrition. She is presently working as a freelance Consultant Nutritionist with special interests in pregnancy nutrition and childhood nutrition. Sherlyn enjoys developing and delivering nutrition and health-related programmes and talks at workplaces, childcare centres and schools. She is a resident locum nutritionist with Mt Alvernia Hospital and also appointed as a speaker for Dayspring Medical Group. Prior to that, she was the Health Promotion Board’s (HPB) speaker for Healthzone’s Health Education Sessions. With over 15 years of working experience in the field of public health nutrition, health promotion and nutrition education, Sherlyn has headed the Community Nutrition section of the Department of Nutrition, Ministry of Health and spearheaded National Nutrition programmes, namely The Healthier Restaurant Program and The School Tuckshop Program at HPB. She has also worked as a Lecturer of Nutrition at the Temasek Polytechnic. During the course of her career, Sherlyn has provided scientific advice and consultations and education services to health professionals, the media and the general public.  On a personal level, Sherlyn is helping the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) develop some nutrition training modules for Myanmarese village health workers. She has also volunteered her services by implementing and leading a Maternal and Childhood Nutrition Program in Laos and Cambodia under SIF’s Singapore Volunteers Overseas (SVO) Program and Temasek Polytechnic’s Overseas Students’ Internship Program (OSIP), respectively. Sherlyn loves children and helps arrest Singapore’s falling population by raising 4 children.
