Her playing has taken her traveling in Russia from Rachmaninov’s House Museum Estate in Tambov to the Sheremet’yev Palace in St. Petersburg and making a mark in the West at the Oxford Piano Festival, the Nice Summer Music Festival, the Blüthner Pavilion in Leipzig to name a few.  Having returned to Malaysia in 2009, Yann Shie spends much time working with young musicians and actively involves herself in music festivals, notably the annual HSBC Classics, both performing and directing. She is a frequent adjudicator in local music competitions and has been invited to conduct master classes for various music faculties including UPM, USM, UiTM and UCSI. In addition to her busy schedule, Yann Shie has recently joined Ossia Music School as Head of Academic Studies. Engagements in 2014 includes a triple piano concerto by Mozart in KL, performing the Laksa Cantata – a project by Singaporean arts practitioners and premiering new works by 21st century composers, New Mexican Kathleen Ryan and Estonian Tõnu Kõrvits.
