Detailed Bio of Panelists:Jessica Huang Pouleur is a Partner at Openspace Ventures and leads its venture growth fund, OSV+. Openspace Ventures focuses on investments in Southeast Asia-based technology companies and currently manages five funds with total committed capital of over US$650M.Jessica has over 15 years of growth- and late-stage investment and corporate strategy experience across Asia Pacific. Her previous roles include leading the investment team in Southeast Asia for Providence Equity Partners – a global telecommunications, media and technology sector focused private equity fund. More recently, she headed Corporate Strategy & Business Development, APAC & Middle East, for The Walt Disney Company, where she helmed key strategic initiatives and M&A across the region. Earlier in her career, Jessica worked in the Healthcare Investment Banking and Asia Debt Capital Markets teams at Citigroup.Jessica holds a BA in Political Science from Barnard College, Columbia University.__Albert Shyy is a Managing Director at Eurazeo within the Venture team, based in Singapore. He is leading a $200M fund looking at early growth opportunities within Southeast Asia and India, focusing on the insurtech sector.Previously, Albert was a Managing Director at Burda Principal Investments where he led the Singapore office for 5 years. Prior to this he was a Principal at GREE Ventures, where he eventually led the investment team in Southeast Asia and India. He also has worked at Lazada Group, as an entrepreneur (e-commerce), and as a management consultant at Monitor Group.He completed his MBA at the University of California, Berkeley and did his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania.__David He is a partner in the Singapore office of Gunderson Dettmer, a Silicon Valley-headquartered international law firm with an exclusive focus on the innovation economy. David has spent nearly a decade working with startups and VCs throughout the U.S., China, India, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Based in New York, Silicon Valley and Singapore during this period, David has led negotiations on more than 500 successful venture financing transactions and advised on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial contracts and public listing preparations for a number of venture-backed startups. David has been recognized by The Legal 500 as the only “Next Generation Partner” in the Start-Up and Venture Capital - Foreign Firms in Singapore category. He is also recognized by Chambers and Partners and India Business Law Journal, and was listed as one of Asia’s 40 Under 40 Lawyers for 2022 by Asian Legal Business, a Thomson Reuters publication, which recognizes the top young lawyers from international and domestic firms across Greater China, South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia and India.David received a JD from Columbia Law School and a BS from Cornell University.__Dr Snehal Patel is the Managing Director of Saena Partners, a venture incubation firm based in Singapore. In that capacity, he has co-founded five venture-backed companies, and most recently served as CEO and Co-Founder of MyDoc, Southeast Asia’s first regional telemedicine company, which the firm exited last year. A Kauffman Fellow and 6X Forbes Asia 30-under-30 judge, Dr. Patel moved to Singapore from the US to found and lead the healthcare team at the Clermont Group, a multi-billion dollar investment fund, where he led the procurement and management of investments across South and Southeast Asia. Prior to the work at the Clermont Group, he practiced law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, LLP in New York City. In addition to multiple board and advisor roles, he currently serves as Advisor to Harvard Medical School’s Center for Primary Care HealthTech Fellowship Program as well as the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physician and Surgeons’ International Collaboration and Exchange Program.Dr Patel received an MD and a JD from Columbia University and served as a Clinical Fellow at the Harvard Medical School.
