Then, the river was busy, lively - smelly too! Many worked on and lived by the river banks. They also played by the river. There were opera shows, wandering musicians, storytellers, festivals and feasts. Join this interactive session to discover some fun activities that took place by the river. One of the favourite games then was to hang onto the tyres of bumboats as they sailed on the river ... but only when it was high tide. Find out why - via a colouring session and an origami session to make your own bumboat.The session will be jointly conducted by Tina Sim and Alan Bay, author&illustrator of “Time Travel, Singapore!
