The workshops will engage parents, as well as expose children to well-being strategies that boost resilience and mental health – strategies which parents will learn and takeaway to guide their children to prioritise their emotional strengths and better cope with our fast-paced society. An innovative programme developed by Emory University with guidance from world renowned psychologist Dr. Daniel Goleman and other experts, this programme will equip parents with the tools needed to nurture social, emotional intelligence and ethical values in their children, as well as themselves. Facilitators from Emory University’s Centre for Contemplative Science and Compassion-Based Ethics will be conducting 2 workshops, namely:, 1) Navigating Emotions & Resiliency, and 2) Enabling Well-Being. Each workshop can be attended as a standalone to the full programme, with 2 main activities each session covering a spectrum of topics that encourage individuals to be aware of and get in touch with their emotional wellbeing, to identify negative feelings and stress points, and to reflect on how to alleviate it.Website: seelearning.emory.eduIMPORTANTThe workshop is suitable for children.
