Journaling has been an increasingly popular activity used as a functional approach to track and detail one’s personal growth, emotions and daily productivity goals. The process can be therapeutic as individuals gain benefit from organising their minds and expressing their emotions and thoughts on paper, which has proven to improve psychological health. In this workshop, participants can expect: X 2-hour hands-on session designed for beginners, as we take you through the steps of designing, carving, and stamping. X There will also be a 15-25mins walkabout for participants to search for inspiration. Design possibilities are endless and participants can get their creative juices flowing by getting inspired by Haw Par Villa’s colourful landscapes and stories from our dioramas. All materials and tools will be provided.Participants will receive a uniquely designed Haw Par Villa themed diary. 24 June, 2-4PM: Stamp carving workshop – Chinese motifs and symbolism Participants will bring home: 4 carving blocks, 1 blue ink pad, and 2 carving knives in a brown craft box.25 June, 10-12PM: Stamp carving workshop – Tiles of Haw Par Villa Participants will bring home: 4 carving blocks, 2 coloured ink pads, 1 ruler, 1 cutting mat and 2 carving knives in a brown craft box.IMPORTANTThe workshop is suitable for children 12 and above.
