Graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Tokyo in 1974. Worked as a research assistant in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, and later as a lecturer at the University of Tsukuba, College of Policy and Planning Sciences. Subsequently held positions as assistant professor, professor, Dean of the College of Policy and Planning Sciences, and special assistant to the university president, and retired in 2017 as Professor Emeritus. Professor Fumihiko Nakamura (Specially-appointed Professor, Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, The University of Tokyo) Born in Niigata City in 1962. Graduated from the Department of Urban Engineering at the University of Tokyo in 1985. Became an associate professor at the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand in 1992, then an associate professor at Yokohama National University in 1995 and a professor at the same university in 2004. Currently in office since 2021. Professor Noboru Koshizuka (Professor, Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, The University of Tokyo) Born in Tokyo in 1966, completed the doctoral program in the Department of Information Science at the University of Tokyo in 1994 and holds a PhD in Computer Science. His expertise lies in the research of IoT, data distribution platforms, and smart cities. In recent years, he has become interested in constructing information platforms as social infrastructures that include not only information systems but also legal systems and business models. Philippe Crist, Advisor for Innovation and Foresight, ITF Philippe Crist is Advisor for Innovation and Foresight for the International Transport Forum (ITF) at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). He coordinates innovation and foresight activities for the International Transport Forum, is the knowledge lead for the ITF’s Innovation Hub, manages the research of the ITF’s Corporate Partnership Board and carries out other research for the ITF. Victoire Champenois, Policy Officer, DG MOVE, European Commission Victoire Champenois is Policy Officer in DG MOVE, Unit B4 Sustainable and Intelligent Transport. She follows topic related to passenger multimodality, including the Delegated Regulation on MMTIS and the new proposal on MDMS. Previous to that Victoire worked in the European Parliament for 6 years on transport and energy issues. Andrew Glass Hastings, Executive Director, Open Mobility Foundation Having served two Seattle mayors, managed local and regional transportation funding campaigns, led one of the most innovative city DOT teams and advised cities around the globe, Andrew Glass Hastings has extensive experience working at the intersection of the public and private sectors. While maintaining the strengths of Japan's unique private-sector-led transportation system, institutional reform is also underway to create a more sustainable system.
