An initiative kickstarted by Make The Change Pte Ltd (MTC), DAFA embodies the MTC belief that creativity can be the connecting key to educate, empower and strengthen inclusiveness today.As an advocate of inclusivity, DAFA also believes in instilling a consciousness of media and digital literacy through its programmes. This internalization process is essential in bringing down isolating barriers across varying communities to live out its values: “Be safe, Be smart, Be kind” as a way of life.Using digital arts as our main avenue of expression, DAFA is crafted to underline experiential learning and empathetic thinking. Welcoming beginners to understand, apply and develop skills in digital art, DAFA aspires to foster an active ecosystem through engaging workshops, an accessible online gallery, and a purposeful e-commerce platform.Public Session 2nd March - 4:00 pm - 7:00 pmWhat you will learn:Media Literacy- Digital consumption- Safety on the internet- Real vs Fake informationBasic Design Principles- The different ways of seeing- How to visually express an idea- Composition and framingModern arts and Digital arts- Introduction to modern arts and digital arts- Upcoming trends in digital arts- Use of digital canvas tools (Procreate app) and iPad Pro will be provided for the trainingTrainerIsaac Liang Zhi Jie (Digital Artist) Isaac Liang (b.1986, Johor Malaysia) is a deaf illustrator residing in Singapore. Despite numerous learning challenges faced during his early years, he persevered and successfully graduated in 2011with a diploma in Digital Media Design (Animation) from Nanyang Polytechnic. Specialising in both digital and traditional illustrations, he often travels around the world to draw and paint as a digital nomad.To date, many of his beautiful sketches and illustrated works have been published in books. During his free time, Isaac is also active as a community member of Urban Sketchers Singapore. For many, it is difficult not to find his personable style of sketching relatable and interesting.
