arvo for a meal and a good 'Walk + Talk' session, exploring different
outdoor spaces in Singapore. It's been a lot of fun and we'd like to
open it up to other mates and mates of mates who are keen to join! It's
been really great to soak up the sun, get a good sweat and be disconnected from our phones and emails and the daily stresses and just...talk (like humans used to!) :) All levels of fitness are welcome to join!
Please invite friends and friends of friends who you think would be
keen to join in! It's a great way to burn off those calories earned over
the weekend and to meet other people :) ABOUT THE WESTERN ADVENTURE LOOP:
Forget conventional, manicured parks; find the wild side of Singapore
on this Western Adventure Loop. The loop brings you through parks and
greenways in western Singapore, where you can choose to unwind amid
nature or go on an outdoor adventure unlike any other on this island.
Birdwatchers, look out for the 50 bird species that have been sighted on
the loop along Bukit Panjang Park Connector. Thrill-seekers get their
adrenaline pumping on the rugged terrain of Zhenghua Park and Dairy Farm
Nature Park. Go ahead and work out a sweat; there are ample lush,
tranquil areas to rest in afterwards. WHAT TO WEAR: Trainers or good pair of walking shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirtySports attire WHAT TO BRING: A face towelA backpack is a good idea to place all your belongingsA bottle of waterSome cash on handMosquito repellent (if you're scared of the mozzies!)A snack if you need to fuel up A plastic bag and ziplock bag (in case it rains, you'll want to protect your belongings)A camera (if you'd like to snap photos) IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:We will be meeting directly at Bukit Batok Nature Park - Meeting Point 1 at 2pm before setting off!
