In this panel, join this selection of writers and translators as they talk about the art of translation and what goes through their minds when they are repackaging the works of other writers for a different language.This 1hr panel will be followed by a 30-minute sale and signing of Diasporic, Dr Yeo Wei Wei's translations of short stories by Soon Ai Ling. Selva, with live illustration by artist Raymond LiBuilding on her writing and sketching workshops, Sing Lit Station presents the final workshop led by Dr Pallavi Narayan, a 2023 Jalan Besar Fellow. Hosted at the Sri Lankan restaurant Kotuwa, Wanderlust Hotel, Pallavi’s co-hosts for this lunch conversation will be Malaysian writer and spoken word artist Melizarani T. Selva and Singaporean artist Raymond Li. While lunch will be served, Pallavi and Meliza will engage the participants in dialogue on mapping the South Asian food landscape in Singapore while Raymond will perform a sketching demo. As this event entails a full meal with several courses, it is ticketed at $40 per person paid upon registration, and limited to an intimate group of 16 participants.
