A group of Japanese soldiers arrived at the Shuang Lin monastery arresting Abbot Venerable Pu Liang and his two disciples.  They were never seen again.  In 2009, "Light on the Lotus Hill" was published and documented the life of Venerable Pu Liang and the historical period he lived in.
