Young Makers Design Thinking Bootcamp 5 - 6 April 2018

What is Design Thinking?

Design Thinking is a human centred approach to solving real life problems. It is a 5-stage process that focuses on truly understanding and empathising with people we are trying to help and coming up with innovative and testable solutions that solves their problem. Design Thinking is a powerful methodology that is being used in government, Top Fortune 500 companies and in education the world over.

How does Design Thinking Bootcamp help students?

The goal of this bootcamp is to give students the confidence, mindset and the tools to be change makers where they are - the confidence and creativity to solve not just their own problems but to be instrumental in solving real life problems in their community and environment.

This is done through:
  • The creation of an immersive, engaging and hands-on learning experience that is activity driven and fun focused.
  • Giving students the opportunity to ideate and create innovative solutions to a real life challenge during this bootcamp.
  • The teaching of a framework that emphasises the disciplines of Design Thinking such as embracing empathy, divergent and convergent thinking, and experiencing failure in a safe way.

We turn students to inspired Design Thinkers.
