Bommi's Grandmother will take her on an in-depth journey to learn more about the harvest festival and its significance of the 4 day celebration. Bommi will learn the importance of culture and traditions which is passed on from one generation to the next.PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS:- Learn about the significance of the 4 day harvest festival- The importance of caring and sharing as well as family togetherness- Tradition practiced during PongalWHY JOIN?Participants will enjoy an interactive storytelling session, accompanied with music and singalong session. Participants will also have a hands on experience on making their own Pongal craft to bring home! This workshop is open for children 4 years and above. ABOUT IHC OPEN HOUSE 2023: The annual Indian Heritage Centre (IHC) will be celebrating the Pongal over two weekend-long festival through arts performances, craft workshops, lecture demonstrations and Little India trails. The festival hopes to promote a greater sense of pride and identity in the rich cultural heritage in Singapore.
