She is also the designer behind WAX pop artpparel, a clothing and merchandise label based on her comic strip characters and positive philosophy.What participants will be doingIn this comic-making crash course, we'll be learning the basics of making comics out of your daily life and experiences. Sam will share some of her secret tips on finding the funny in the everyday, as well as drawing tips - like how to capture facial expressions, and how to create visual impact with your drawing style. We'll start by coming up with a comic strip character, and then together we will brainstorm different scenarios to place our character.Duration of workshop11am-12pm (1 hour) followed by 12-12:30pm (Q&A session and book signing)Additional info Especially recommended for ages 8-14.
