No wonder weretigers, an interbreed of both, have materialized themselves in manifold ways: archaic, archetypical, ahistorical, yet always flexible enough to bend themselves through time and space. In this automated shadow piece, projections meet puppets, narration meets history, ephemerality meets objectivity: a many-bodied hybrid. An invitation to reflect on and rethink the potential of bastards. The performance is an incarnation of “w for weretiger” and as such part of the critical dictionary of southeast asia.
