アーティスト・研究者のジュリエット・ペネロペ・ペパンによる、長田での研究プロジェクト「帰るの蛙」に関連するワークショップを開催します。日本の庭におけるカエルの表現からヒントを得た本研究プロジェクトは、都市空間におけるカエルの造形的存在が、カエルという生物の環境、生存状態に対する生態学的認識とどのように関係しているかを探ります。このプロジェクトは、ICA京都（京都芸術大学）のアーティスト・リサーチ・フェローシップ・プログラムで実施された、より大きな研究提案に基づくものです。「帰るの蛙」ワークショップでは、長田区に住まうカエルの科学的データに基づき、参加者に紙粘土によるカエルの彫刻を制作してもらいます。レーザーでカットされた型紙と地元の紙ゴミを使った彫刻の制作です。最終的には、都市のテクスチャーと本物のカエルの皮膚のイメージをミックスしたパターンでコーティングし、長田の街並みにおけるカエルの過去、現在、未来の存在のメタファーであるハイブリッドな存在を作り出します。また、彫刻を制作しながら、作家のリサーチに関するディスカッションを行い、カエルの現状を共有します。   ワークショップ概要 ◉日時10月5日（水）19:00〜22:0010月6日（木）19:00〜22:00◉スケジュールDAY1 カエルのボディづくり1日目は、レーザーカットしたテンプレートを組み立て、紙くずを詰めてカエルのボディを作ります。テープで固定した後、紙を何層にも重ね、カエルのベースカバーを作ります。所要時間：2時間～2時間30分DAY2 カエルの皮づくり本物のカエルの皮のプリントと長田区内にある素材を使い、紙粘土と同じ手法でカエルの皮を作ります（白紙のカエルも可）。※参加者は、アーティストが乾燥させ、ニスを塗った後、翌日にカエルを受け取ることができます。※両ワークショップに参加することをお勧めしますが、必須ではありません。※リサーチ中にアーカイブのための録音が行われる可能性があります。録音を希望されない方は、その旨ご連絡ください。◉場所（※場所を変更しました）ソバニオムスビ〒653-0042　日本、兵庫県神戸市長田区二葉町2丁目5-10https://www.sobaomu.net/◉費用ワークショップの参加費は無料ですが、寄付をお願いしています。寄付の目安は1,000円です。◉定員参加者の年齢を問わず、どなたでもご参加いただけます。車いすでの参加も可能です。---------------------------------------------------On the occasion of her residency with Nagata ward, artist and researcher Juliette Pénélope Pépin proposes a series of workshop around her research project in Nagata “帰る の 蛙”. Informed by the presence of frog representations in front gardens in Japan, this workshop and research project explores how the figurative presence of frogs in urban spaces relate to ecological awareness on those beings, their Umwelt and state of survival. The projects feed into a larger research proposal conducted during the artists research fellowship program at the ICA Kyoto (Kyoto University of the arts).“帰る の 蛙” invites participants to create decorative paper mache frog sculptures informed by scientific data on Kansai frogs. Using a laser-cut template and local paper waste, participants will be guided through the making of the sculpture from beginning to end. The final coating of the frog will consist of a mixed pattern of urban textures and real frog skin images to create a hybrid being - metaphor of the past, present and future presence of frogs in the cityscape of Nagata. Discussions and mediation around the artist's research will be held while making the sculptures as a way to share insights on the frog's current state of being. General Info◉Workshop Schedule 2022/10/5 19:00〜22:002022/10/6 19:00〜22:00Day 1: Making the frog body.Day one will consist in assembling the laser-cut template and filling it with paper waste to create a frog body. Once taped, layers of paper will be applied to the frog to create its base cover.Duration: 2:30 to 3:00 hours NB: There needs to be one day in between each workshop for frogs sculptures ot be able to dry.Day 2: Making the frog skin.Using printed images of real frog skins and Nagata Urban textures, participants will be invited to create the skin of their frogs (or a blank frog available) using the same technique as paper mache. Duration: 2:30 to 3:00 hours NB: Participants will be able to pick up their frogs the day after, once dried and varnished by the artist./!\ It is recommended to attend both workshops, but not mandatory. ◉Workshop feeThere is no fee for this workshop, although donation is more than welcomed.
