Research and innovation can advance teaching and learning or arts practices, resulting in exponential benefit for our learners.

In an on-going quest for making meaning and improvement, scholar/pianist/media author Robert Winter will deliver a triptych on the theme of “Research Studies in the Arts”. You are warmly invited to register for these faculty research workshops.

There are 3 sessions in total:

Tuesday, 27 March 10am-12pm - Literature Reviews: Whose Shoulders Should We Stand On?

Tuesday, 27 March, 2-5pm - From Idea to Publication - Finding Your Way

Wednesday, 28 March, 1-3pm - Great Researchers I Have Known, and What Made Them Tick

About the Facilitator:

Scholar/pianist/media author ROBERT WINTER earned his B.A. in Music, then an M.F.A. in Piano from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a Ph. D. in the History & Theory of Music from the University of Chicago.

In the first 15 years of his scholarly career, Winter authored, co-authored, or edited four major books on Beethoven and published a substantial number of influential articles on compositional process, performance practice, and Franz Schubert (he contributed the Schubert article to the 2000 edition of the Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians).
