Rangjung Yeshe Oddiyana (RYO) is delighted to announce a series of special events to usher in the Year of the Earth Dog. 10 FEB 2018 (Saturday)Evening: Lama Norlha Puja (7pm) Tulku Migmar and Khenpo Gyaltsen will lead us in performing the Lama Norlha Puja, a Buddhist practice associated with wealth. Lama Norlha is an emanation of Guru Rinpoche and the chief figure in the mandala of all the wealth deities. This practice is to make flourish and increase outer, inner and secret wealth. Outer wealth includes material things such as food, clothing, a comfortable place to live and so on. Inner wealth is a person’s fortune and merit along with personal virtues such as contentment, generosity and calmness of mind. Secret wealth is understanding the nature of things or emptiness, developing innate inner awareness and the actualization of the qualities of awakening for the sake of oneself and others. 11 FEB 2018 (SUNDAY)Morning: Sang Puja (9am) Teaching on How to Gain Devotion by Khenpo Gyaltsen (10.30am) Sang is a profound and powerful method of offering taught by Guru Rinpoche. The Tibetan word ‘sang’ means to clean, and the practice likewise purifies internal obscuration and external harm for both self and others. The actual ritual involves the burning of various fragrant woods and other prescribed materials, such as ground gemstones and brocades. The blessed smoke is to purity the world and satisfy all the beings therein—be they mundane, divine, or malignant. Kindly note there is a $12 suggested donation for each recharge item.SPONSORSHIP/DONATIONSYou are welcomed to make any form of offering or sponsorship via this page.Even if you are not able to physically participate in the puja, the merits from the puja will be dedicated to all sentient beings especially all our donors and sponsors.NOTESAll are welcomed to attend the puja sessions, registration is not required.Please be punctual. This would include any wealth arrow, lama norlha tsa tsa, wealth deity statue or thangka and the like.Q: I would like to get my wealth vase recharged but I cannot make it for the event. Can I deposit my vase before the event and pick it up later?If you are unable to attend the event but would still like to get your vase recharged, kindly arrange with your family or friends to bring it for you. RYO would not be responsible for any lost or misplaced wealth vase. Q: If I have paid for my wealth recharge, what do I need to present at the registration booth on that day? Please bring either a paper print-out of your ticket(s) or bring a digital device (phone, iPad) and open to the page with your recharge confirmation. Of course, please bring your wealth vase along as well.Q: Must I be a vegetarian in order to attend the event?It is not necessary to observe full vegetarian for this event.Q: I didn't receive any confirmation after submitting my offering/ sponsorship.
