Will the current strength of growth – driven in large by domestic activities – be sustainable in the short-term given our level of indebtedness? How can we still grow? How will the future of work and the contour of income inequality change in Malaysia?Join us for a discussion on these issues based on rigorous analysis rather than hype.Speaker: Allen NgDirector of Research, Khazanah Research Institute (KRI) Current research interest in the roles of technology and the state in economic development. Prior to KRI, was an economist at Bank Negara Malaysia for more than a decade, serving in various positions including being the deputy director of both the economics and monetary policy departments, two core units of the bank. Also served as the economist in the office of Governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz in her final term as governor. Holds a BA and MPhil in economics from the University of Cambridge, and is also a Chevening alumnus.
